Leading TSHRM's Build-a-Bear Event
FSP’s own David Hirsch helped to coordinate the 2nd Annual TSHRM Give Back event last night, providing Build-A-Bears to the Durham Fire Department. These bears will be out riding on fire trucks and ambulances throughout Durham County and will be donated to children in distress. We are proud to be part of this important mission.

Frankel Staffing Partners is excited to welcome Katie Anceravage to our team. Katie brings with her a diverse background that includes IT recruiting and extensive customer and client support experience. To get a sense of which large cities give job seekers the best chance of finding employment, Forbes looked to data from Indeed.com, a large job search platform that operates throughout the U.S. and internationally. Will Barfield selected to speak at local conference
FSP’s Will Barfield was the guest speaker yesterday at Career Pro Inc.’s weekly executive networking meeting. Will addressed “The Business Relationship of Getting Hired” and engaged in open conversation with several local professionals in transition.
Will’s talk included tips on how to interact with recruiters, how to create fans among your collaborators and competitors, and how to build powerful, long lasting career relationships through networking. Many thanks to John O’Connor for the invitation!
Will Barfield presents at Meredith College
On Monday, October 12th, FSP's Will Barfield was the featured speaker at Meredith College's Student SHRM Chapter meeting.
The program, "Are the Generations Lost in Translation? Communicating in the Workplace," addressed the universal rise in technology and its impact on interpersonal communication in present-day office environments. Will had an open exchange with attending students about social media usage, texting, etc., and how those forms of communication affect multi-generational workplace dynamics and the formation of successful business relationships. It was a timely and important topic, and we were thrilled to participate.

Rod Frankel: Featured panelist at NCSU Presentation
The Alumni Society of NC State University’s Communications Department recently presented a program entitled “Before I’ll Hire You” for the students currently attending NC State. The event featured a group of six panelists possessing a wealth of knowledge about the job search process. Many of the students will soon be graduating and the tips, techniques, advice and suggestions from the panel were enthusiastically received by the audience.

NC Tax Changes
Reminder: The NC Assembly recently passed new tax legislature. As a result, all employees working in North Carolina must complete a new Form NC-4 EZ or NC-4 for 2014. For anyone who has not completed a 2014 withholding form, the law requires that taxes be withheld based on a Single/Zero exemption status. These forms can be found in the "For Employees" section of our website and may be completed at any time. Please contact us with any questions. Thank you.
David Hirsch Serves LLS's Annual Charity Walk
FSP’s own David Hirsch served on this year’s
Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s Executive Leadership Council and was responsible for recruiting new corporate sponsors and walk teams for the LLS’s annual Light the Night Walk. The event was a huge success, and David is already working towards attracting new sponsors for 2014.
