Our client, a top-tier commercial construction company with a growing presence in the Triangle, is actively recruiting for an extremely sharp and capable Project Administrator to join its team of dedicated professionals.

This company is one of the fastest growing construction firms in the nation with over 50 locations. The company takes great pride in its “people matter culture” and has an impressive record of investing in its employees’ development and promoting from within.

They are hiring a Project Administrator to assist with a diverse range of administrative responsibilities surrounding the day-to-day operations of a jobsite.  This Project Administrator will be the office “go-to” and will interact with both colleagues and vendors on a regular basis.  We seek a skilled point-person who loves being “the hub.”

Duties may include greeting visitors, scheduling meetings, requesting vendor bids, documenting subcontractor lists, maintaining electronic project files, etc..

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Code and submit employee credit card reports and vouchers
  • Maintain office equipment and other supplies
  • Administer subcontractor documents including invoices and related documents, insurance, and bonds
  • Address client and vendor inquiries

The targeted candidate will offer 6+ years of administrative experience, preferably within the construction industry.  Longevity in past employment will be important.

In addition, due to the nature of this position, we seek a candidate who will demonstrate exceptional organizational and problem-solving skills and who will take ownership of their tasks to ensure day-to-day operations flow smoothly and free of errors.

Other desired qualities include:

  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in both written and oral form
  • Flexible and adaptable to work in a variety of situations
  • Proficient in office technology and software (the company uses Bluebeam and CMiC)

Initial project will be located in Durham, NC and future projects will be within the Triangle area. This is a full-time, temp-to-hire opportunity paying $50-58k based on experience, plus a very generous benefits package.
